Some Assembly Required

Early in the week of Nov. 9, two massive flatbed trucks rolled into the Flats delivering the makings of four beautiful new paddle courts.

The trucks transported their precious cargo all the way from Orange, CT, home of Reilly Green Mountain, our court builder.

The trucks were greeted by several Cleveland Platform Tennis Foundation board members, who brought their cameras, but not their toolboxes. Construction can’t begin until the city grants our permits, which could happen any day. In the meantime, to all the aluminum planks and chicken wire fencing, WELCOME TO CLEVELAND!

That truck driver looks familiar.
